Why Pacific Coast Counseling?
Insight is great, but it doesn't always have you living your life differently. When you work with me, you will take that insight and go deeper for the healing, then take actionable steps in your relationships and daily life.
You want more than just understanding "why" you undermine yourself, procrastinate, over commit and suffer in unfulfilling relationships and work.
You want to DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT!
Together, we will improve your skills at communication, move beyond procrastination, and start being your own best advocate.
If you want to do work in therapy that actually changes your life, give me a phone call and let's set up a 20 minute consultation to see how to move you forward in living a life of self awareness, acceptance, commitment, healing and integrity. Just taking this action is already making a change!
Like the ocean, at Pacific Coast Counseling—we go deep!
My Approach
At Pacific Coast Counseling, I offer a “home-like” atmosphere that is warm and inviting, with a nice cup of tea and space to share your experiences, insights, and hopes for healing. I bring over twenty years of experience in counseling psychology, spiritual psychology, integrative nutrition, mindfulness training, and physical fitness to guide, educate, and support you through life’s biggest challenges, transitions, and opportunities.
Together, we can move through deep mental, emotional, and somatic healing. This work may include mindfulness practices, new communication skills, soul-centered goal setting, positive intention building, and exploring family history or multi-generational patterns that may be consciously or unconsciously shaping your life.
With warmth, humor, and down-to-earth practical advice, my intention is to create a safe space to explore who you really are and what you truly want at the soul level. You are in charge, and I am here to assist and advise. My goal is always to help you help yourself, heal yourself, and improve your relationship with work, play, yourself, and your loved ones.
You deserve to feel confident, whole, connected, joyful, and deeply fulfilled in your everyday life. With the support I can offer and your commitment to the process, we can get you there.
Services
-
Specializing in life transitions such as career change, empty nest, divorce or breakup, health issues, trauma, grief and loss, social change, menopause, and spiritual identity shift, I utilize a holistic approach to anxiety, depression, somatic complaints (headaches, stomach upset and digestive issues, exhaustion, etc). Utilizing traditional and holistic techniques primarily through talk therapy, mindfulness practices, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, somatic attunement, breathwork, inner-child healing, self-forgiveness, Narrative therapy, Parts work, and psychoeducation. We will discuss your goals and regularly measure how far you’ve come to achieve them. You will be assigned homework between sessions. Typically we meet weekly for approximately three months and assess from there. Sessions can be either 60-90 minutes.
Individual Intensives are available (typically 3 or more hours of intensive “breakthrough” work on specific patterns, traumas or issues)

After initial intake and goal sessions, we will establish the best way to serve the couple, including weekly sessions either individually or as a couple for a commitment of three months initially, and schedule refresher/follow up sessions after the fundamental issues of the couple have been resolved. We will utilize the work of John Gottman, Terry Real, and other couples and individual therapy strategies to both uncover underlying unhealed individual issues playing out in the marriage, and practice new communication, forgiveness, compassion and intimacy strategies within the couple.

This is a treatment protocol specifically designed to support changing lifestyle habits gently and slowly, for lasting changes in mental, emotional and physical health. We will address, educate and heal the impact of family and societal culture around appearance, health, body shape and the impact of body shaming, dieting culture, body dysmorphia, orthorexia, trauma, and PTSD, including patriarchal stress disorder that most women (and some men) experience in their relationship with their bodies, food, exercise and self worth. This work is loving, gentle, exploratory, and deeply healing. If your health is an issue, and you are tired of yo-yo dieting, hating your body, secret food shame, and constant obsession with trying to “change” your body, this is for you. This work is especially important if you have had weight loss surgery to reduce food intake, and/or are utilizing GLP1’s, as a way to maintain your stabilizing weight in a healthful, long lasting way, and address the mental health issues that surface with major body changes.

You’re not starting over. You’re starting deeper. Transition Coaching is for women navigating major life changes like divorce, empty nest, grief, menopause, relationship endings, or a shifting sense of purpose. Through mindfulness practices, practical daily habit shifts, and deep inner work, we’ll uncover the beliefs, behaviors, and mental blocks keeping you stuck so you can begin building a life that fits who you are becoming, not who you used to be.
